November 21st – 9th Grade Math Exhibitions

Description of Project:
For this exhibition the students to design an addition to be built onto an existing building. The addition is supposed to be between 1,000 and 1,200 square feet. The students had to make 4 scale drawings of the addition and the renovated building.

The scale drawings are:
1. a top view showing the original building and the addition
2. a top view showing the floorplan and layout
3. a front view
4. a foundation plan drawing

They are also building a scale model of the foundation of the building. They must choose a foundation type for the building as well and it should coordinate with their foundation plan drawing.

Time slots are as follows:
Period 1: 11:05-11:50
Period 2: 12:55-1:40
Period 3: 2:10-2:55
Period 4: 3:25 – 4:10
