Project Description:

Given Santa Fe’s specific aesthetic style, how would a builder sell his/her design ideas to a prospective buyer? This job incorporates being able to create an informative document that will give information on the job site, including area history, cultural values, and legal requirements. This Task is an extension of the Coding Communities, but will concentrate on the ACE profession’s role in identifying significant cultural trends and history.

Design inspiration drawn from historical research and local design: in the form of a cover letter, company statement, project statement, architectural drawings (by hand and computer) and an architectual foamcore model set in the urban planning cardboard model of Old Town.

Structure:
The student groups will act as ACE professionals, who will pitch their services and design to an outside audience with a multi-media presentation. Students will present an architectural proposal set in the context of Old Town, Albuquerque of an Information Kiosk.

Time slots are as follows:
Period 1: 11:05-11:50
Period 2: 12:55-1:40
Period 3: 2:10-2:55
Period 4: 3:25 – 4:10
